City of Bristol College has an exciting opportunity for an Animal Care Technician to work with young people and adults in the Animal Centre at the South Bristol Skills Academy who are studying an animal care qualification.
Our aim is to ensure all students receive an outstanding experience and are well supported to achieve their qualification to the highest of standards so the animal care technician role is crucial for ensuring that the Animal Centre is maintained to a very high standard of safety and the animals are well cared for to meet the Animal Welfare regulations.

About the role:
- Providing help, advise and assist students during their training and whilst carrying out practical activities or assist other lecturers in a classroom as part of a curriculum programme
- Maintaining the resources within the Animal centre to ensure they are fit for purpose to meet the Curriculum need.
- Monitoring stock control and ordering resources to meet the curriculum need.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with the animal care sector and who is confident in working in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities.
You will also need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students.
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excelling working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally.
