We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our TPG Maritime Ltd team in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team, who are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering systems.
The Role
This Project Engineer position sits within our bespoke engineering solutions side of the business, where we develop life-support systems in critical workspace, oxygen and carbon capture based solutions, water purification, rugged electronics for harsh environments and precision engineering of high-integrity equipment.
We are looking for this Project Engineer position to be the focus for all engineering activities on a project. You will be working with the Project Engineering Manager to ensure the technical content of the project is delivered successfully against the customer requirements. As the project engineer, you will lead the design and development activities relating to the projects, overseeing the flow of information from technical specialists undertaking work related to the project. You will ensure there is clear reporting on the delivery of tasks and work packages; this will assist the project manager in accurately delivering the project plan.
About You
To deliver this role you will be required to have an HND or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical or Chemical Engineering, with experience of working on projects in a lean manufacturing environment or the defence arena. You will have a background in working as a member of a project team, demonstrating an ability to ensure a successful delivery through your engineering, planning and stakeholder management skills. You will ideally have experience of using an ERP system, and knowledge of QA systems.
