Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: 7 North, Carlisle

Working Days/hours: Monday-Friday,9-5:30pm

Hourly Rate: £10.50

Holidays: 28 Days total + an extra day for your birthday!

The Role – Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative with a strong eye for detail and accuracy to join our growing e-commerce business in Carlisle. Reporting to our Warehouse Manager and working with our close-knit and active warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods into and out of our warehouse(s).

What you’ll be doing

As a 7 North Warehouse Operative you will be fulfilling our online orders both directly to our customers and to Amazon Fulfilment Centres to the highest standard. In this varied role, you will enjoy working as part of a team to meet our collective business goals and be able to adapt well to change. The role involves manual handling with some heavy lifting and need to stand for long periods of time, full health and safety training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to our Warehouse Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

· Picking and packing direct customer orders

· Picking and preparing bulk shipments to Amazon warehouses

· Unloading, inspecting, logging and sorting incoming goods

· Accurate storage of incoming goods and ongoing inventory management

· Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks & containers

· Safely using forklift to move goods around the warehouse (training and license will be provided following completion of probationary period)

· Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment

· Adhering to company policies, health and safety guidelines and operational standards

What We’re Looking for – Essential Requirements

No previous experience of working in a warehouse is required - full training will be provided. Successful candidates will have:

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· A flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· An ability to accurately follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

· Confident communication skills and the desire to work well within a team.

· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

· Confident IT skills
