We are hiring for a CNC Programmer to join our growing team in Portadown.
Responsibilities
- Programming 3 and 5 axis CNC Milling Machines
- Cutting tool selection and work holding tool design
- Validating programming quality through part First Artile Inspection.
- Creation of machine set up sheets & operator work instructions.
- Improving and working to lean manufacturing process.
- Ensuring the safety of both employees and machinery
- Training / mentoring less experienced programmers within the department.
- Liaise with tooling and software manufacturers to drive Continuous Improvement.
- Investigate and apply techniques to reduce cycle times and explore new technology to make improvements to workshop throughput.
- Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

Requirements
Essential
- 3 years' machining experience including offline programming experience using a CAM package. (Mastercam,Hypermill / Delcam / Catia or equivalent).
- Experience working within a lean Manufacturing environment.
- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proven ability to work independently, or as part of a team, with little or no supervision.
Desirable
- Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTec Professional Level
- 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications.
- Working knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls desirable
- Possess strong computer skills to include all programs in the Microsoft Office Suite
