Job Purpose
To ensure all aspects of mechanical and electrical systems are maintained in optimal working order and in compliance withcontractual and legislative requirements. Carry out Planned and Reactive tasks in accordance with KPI's. Supervise subcontractors in accordance with H&S legislation. This role is working on a small Police site. You will be required to join an on call rota.
Due to the nature of the client, the successful candidate will need to undergo and pass a police check before commencing this role.
We are able to consider applicants on a full time OR flexible part time basis (approx 20 hrs per week and flexible shift pattern) for this position.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Legislation, H & S, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures of the company and client
- Responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive works to include planning, co-ordination and management of supply chain and staff
- Ensure professional quality of service delivery
- Maintaining accurate records in log books
- To ensure all the contractual assets are properly maintained and operating efficiently through effective planned preventative maintenance matching prescribed schedules either weekly or monthly
- To ensure all events (failures & faults) that have been raised and are reacted to timely, ensuring the appropriate actions taken to meet contractual requirements in returning the asset to full operational service
- To maintain an accurate asset register and maintenance programme
- Provide the Account Manager with forecasted replacement assets in the next lifecycle year
- Assist with energy conservation initiatives on site
- To participate in the out of hours stand-by and callout rota
- To provide the Account Manager with all necessary information to enable any parts to be ordered
- Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings
- To ensure all plant rooms are kept clean, tidy and organised
- To assist the Account Manager and IIS team in any ad hoc duties in support of the contract
- Keep up to date with training requirements for self and team, to flag requirements to the Account Manager
Knowledge Skills & Experience
- Qualified electrical and/or mechanical engineer with minimum 17th Edition
- Good working knowledge of HVAC and BMS systems
- Capable of small plumbing works and a good knowledge of building fabric repairs
