Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro / mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements. Main Duties
- Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.
- To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers sites.
- Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
- To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples inline with company procedures.
- Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
- Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.
- The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential.
- To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
- Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
- Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible is kept clean and is properly maintained.

- Can you take a personal responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of those around you? You will be required to follow safety procedures as per company policy and any site-specific or additional client requirements.
- Completing any reasonable task requested by your manager and / or the business.
What we are looking for
Someone with previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential.
Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets / mobile devices and Microsoft programmes are necessary.
The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
You will be required to work alone and as part of a team and should thrive in both environments.
