Electrical / Mechanical Assembly Operative
£10.42 p/h
Main Purpose of Role;
The individual will be tasked to build electrical control panels/boxes & mechanical sub-assemblies according to drawings and specification. The role will involve and require soldering, crimping, looming and assembly all to the highest of standard for the UK and Worldwide marketplace.
Role & Responsibilities;

To complete, support and provide assistance with:
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to Health & Safety procedures and policies at all times
- Be responsible for maintaining their own work load to ensure deadlines are met, whilst highlighting problems at the earliest opportunity (Shortages, Drawing Queries etc).
- Cable assembly covering heavy duty cables to looms and internal wiring following customer specified drawings.
- Wiring bespoke electrical instrument panels.
- Wiring and assembly of AC/DC panels.
- Assembling and wiring of contractor boxes.
- Creating looms and assembling PCB’s.
- Read, use and understand electrical/mechanical schematic drawings.
The ideal candidate;
A good understanding of the following;
- Industrial workshop practice.
- Electrical wiring symbols, engineering drawings,
- General electrical/mechanical assembly good practice in line with the various standards.
- Highly organised.
- Excellent communication/listening skills as directions will be provided through a combination of both verbal & written fabrication and assembly instructions
- Great attention to detail.
- A can-do attitude and a passion to succeed by meeting production targets and quality standards.
- Prior experience/familiar use of various hand, power and crimping tools.
- Electrical/Mechanical experience preferred but not essential.
