Job Objectives & Responsibilities
- Act as a representative of Mitie FRA carrying out work as detailed by the Head of FRA
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues.
- Take control of the Fire Risk Assessment department including regional RA supervisors, quality control and working alongside account management.
- Operational responsibility to deliver a first-class, end to end service and help to drive the required profit margins upon the contracted and reactive risk assessment surveys.
- Support the Head of FRA to ensure continual business growth and sustainable profitable growth throughout the business portfolio.
- Managing of sub-contractors as necessary
- To work with the scheduling team, ensuring the department runs efficiently and effective.
- To ensure all works are delivered within specified SLA's and to the agreed scope of works.
- Take control of the running and continuous development of the FRA app based system
- To ensure regional operation resource levels are maintained.
- To interview new regional resources including administrative support.
- To deal the Mitie HR process and team performance issues.
- Training and developing current and new risk assessors, new processes and documents as required.
- Adhere to the Mitie quality management system and quality policy, and to the relevant industry guidelines and customer specifications.
- Complete reports and paperwork as required by the Head of FRA
- Take responsibility for your own training needs and bring them to the attention of the Head of FRA
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.
Main Duties
- Continuously working with the scheduling team
- Provide regular management information (MI) to drive performance highlighting trends and issues, and devise improvement measures as appropriate.
- Producing of FRA quotations including working and supporting alongside the TE estimating department.
- Manage the associated FRA SharePoint facilities ensuring best practice.
- Ensuring the FRA templates are updated accordingly for any legislation updates.
- Ensure that the BAFE accreditation is up to date
- Attend contract review meetings with account managers as required.
- Ensure that the Risk Assessment team is performing to the required standard.
- Carry out regular onsite audits to team members
- Audit risk assessment reports from a technical perspective.
- Provide training and arrange relevant courses for the risk assessment team to enhance their capabilities, efficiency & competency.
- Provide technical support to clients and Mitie colleagues as necessary.
- Ensure that Risk Assessment teams paperwork, and reports are completed correctly and returned within agreed timescales
You may be required, from time to time, to carry out operational work to ensure that contractual commitments are met, which are carried out by the Risk Assessment Team
