Job Title: Advanced Practitioner
Location: Stevenage
Starting Salary: £43,516 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £48,587 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 37 per week, we are open to discussions on part time hours
Contract: Permanent

An exciting opportunity to join our Diverse and Inclusive Adult Safeguarding team to deliver the vision to the People of Hertfordshire, so that they feel well informed about what’s available to them and they can lead safe, happy, and healthier lives in a way they choose.
You will play a key role in leading Safeguarding Practice and Partnership working.
You’ll join to lead effectively and professionally, to fulfil Hertfordshire County Council’s Adult Safeguarding responsibilities in line with Section 42 of the Care Act and working within Hertfordshire safeguarding frameworks. The values and principles of Making Safeguarding Personal are intrinsic to the operations of the team.
You will:
- Mentor and supervise staff, deliver induction programmes and training
- Contribute to learning and leads local peer group meetings
- Act as the lead professional in Safeguarding Enquiries
- Work collaboratively in partnership with internal and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for service users and carers
You’ll need:
- Qualified Social Worker or Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with Social Work England (SWE)
- Relevant specialist post qualifying and or post graduate training
- Actively undertakes a specialist role e.g., AMHP, Practice Educator, Moving & Handling, Housing solutions lead or equivalent, or agreement to undertake these roles within the first year
- Work at the required level of the professional capabilities’ framework

Driving Roles Only: As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences either using your own mode of transport or a company car. In light of this, the ability to drive and/or travel around the County is required for this role a DVLA check will be required on appointment.
