A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Private Sector Procurement Project Lead to join one of Adecco's leading public sector clients in a temporary assignment, initially for six months. This role supports the delivery of additional supply of accommodation for homeless households.
Based at our client's East London homelessness department but with a requirement to travel across London, this role requires the successful candidate to have experience of working directly with landlords and suppliers, as well as sound working knowledge and experience of the private rented sector market and relevant legislation.
Key elements of the role include:
- Undertaking market research into the availability of private sector accommodation in areas outside of London to identify and make recommendations to increase the available supply for homeless households in the borough.
- Carrying out research and analysis to understand the need, trends, and customer preferences
- Developing a marketing strategy, identifying resources required to deliver on the strategy
- Reviewing the private rented scheme offer to landlords to ensure it remains relevant and competitive
- Engaging and negotiating with landlords to increase the portfolio of accommodation
- Assisting the Accommodation Procurement Manager with planning and delivering events and conferences and evaluating the impact of those events
- Building, developing and maintaining effective relationships with key contacts, stakeholders, and partners
- Reporting on the progress of the project to stakeholder & steering groups or programme boards as necessary
This role is about building relationships with representatives from external organisations and suppliers in both the public and private sector. There is no budget or staff responsibilities, and a strong understanding of local authority pressures and homelessness would be highly desirable, as would applicants from a local government background (although this is not essential).
Only applicants who feel they meet the above criteria need apply.
