What's it all about?
We are a lean and diverse team within the Global Business Development & Partnerships team in the Merchant Sales & Acquiring Organization. Our team’s mission is to focus on, win and optimize new co-brand business in the European region, across both traditional and new merchant verticals. The team is engaged across multiple functions within the Visa Europe region organization to bring the very best of Visa’s expertise and assets to our clients, earning well-qualified wins and delivering and exceeding against revenue expectations while building trust and growing the Visa business in Europe.
This role requires leadership, vision, and creativity to develop and deliver the co-brand strategy across this new set of merchant verticals and strategic cobrand targets. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Head of Cobrand for Europe, and will work closely with the Europe Merchant Partnership Development Team to drive the expansion of Visa products and solutions, and the overall commercialization of Visa’s business development objectives, collaborating with key functions across Visa and engaging with senior executives at merchants/sellers, issuers and consultants.
What we expect, day to day:
- Lead business development for co-brand opportunities in the Europe Region focused on the new merchant verticals and large strategic cobrand targets.
- Develop and manage the sales pipeline for these opportunities including prospect prioritization, sales strategy, cross functional collaboration, definition, tracking and reporting of co-brand opportunities.
- Drive pitch and proposal development and lead external discussions and negotiations with the client/s to secure new business.
- Drive cross-functional discussions with the relevant stakeholders to construct Visa’s value story and lead internal alignment.
- Work closely with the wider Europe co-brand business development and portfolio optimisation team and the Global Co-brand BD Team to help define Visa’s long-term approach and business development strategy in the region.
- Be a co-brand business development point of contact for key consultants and targeted issuers and merchants in the EU Region market.
Qualifications
What we're after...
- Deep Business Development and Partnerships Experience – Proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business. Experience in selling ideas and solutions to senior management based on client priorities and needs.
- Extensive payments industry experience with a strong partnership focus. Co-brand issuer and/or merchant experience managing a co-brand portfolio P&L is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage a pipeline, structure a deal, negotiate business agreements, new business partnerships and drive commercial results.
- Well-rounded leader with strong executive presence: The successful candidate will be comfortable with the Visa Leadership Principles (we lead by example, we communicate openly, we enable and inspire, we excel with partners, we act decisively, and we collaborate), and is focused on growing as a leader as part of daily responsibilities.

- Analytical – Ability to clarify assessment needs and perform rigorous analysis to support project objectives.
- Fluency in English, and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
