Job Description
BioProcess Insider is a leading title in the global biomanufacturing sector. Clinical Insider is a B2B news site and newsletter focused on the clinical trial services industry launched in 2021 to serve the clinical outsourcing space. Our remit and reach include multinational drug makers, SME biotech, contract drug developers and manufacturers, tools and equipment suppliers, clinical research organizations, healthcare institutes, market and regulatory analysts, pharma supply chain companies.
The B2B reporter is a frontline position in covering these vibrant marketplaces and an important role in strengthening the journalistic output of Informa Connect Life Sciences’ business units. The reporter will be responsible for reporting, creating, writing and managing news, digital content, and live events to support Bioprocess Insider, Clinical Insider, and a growing editorial coverage across other related news sites.
The reporter is expected to produce unique content daily targeted at our well-established global biomanufacturing-focused audience.
JOB FUNCTION
Editorial duties (70%)
- Sourcing and producing news stories/features/opinion pieces about the biologics manufacturing market
- Uploading, publishing, promoting individual and team content
- Researching and interviewing key industry contacts to deliver accurate content
- Reporting from and about industry conferences and trade events – both Informa’s and others
- Building strong contacts within the industry and developing an expertise of the market covered
Publication support (20%)
- Developing a social media presence to support the brand, along with audio/visual content
- Moderating panel discussions and/or presenting fireside chats
- Contributing to non-newsletter-related editorial content, including ebooks and podcasts
- Contributing to related publications run by Informa Connect Life Sciences
Other (10%)
- Provide manager and team with regular updates about industry trends
- Supports delivery team with digital event delivery as required.
- Manage ad hoc projects, or communication for additional products outside the portfolio as required by the schedule.
- Performs other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in business journalism, with a minimum of 2 years of writing and editing content
- Sound editorial judgment, writing flair and an ability to work under pressure
- Ability to write and edit in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Comfortable speaking with industry sources and networking at events
