As a Sterile Services Technician in our Barlborough Hospital you’ll work as part of a team supporting our Sterile Services Department Manager Tina, to maintain the supply of sterile instrumentation to the operating department, which is essential for the safety of patients under the organisations care. There will be plenty of learning opportunities including internal modules and while it would be an advantage if you have worked in a similar environment it is not essential.
As a vital member of the team, working to in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to all departments within the hospital. This will include ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process i.e. cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distribution of medical devices.

We are looking for a Sterile Services Technician to join us on a part time basis, working 25.5 hours per week.
Shift pattern during the week 10-6pm a rostered day off in the week when working a Saturday the Saturday hours would be working 7:30 am-5:30pm
This role would be a great for someone with minimal experience working within a healthcare setting , who has excellent communication skills and an interested in the procedures relating to sterile services. All you need is:
