Meridian health are looking for experienced Band 7 Lead Dols assessors in the Birmingham area
You will work with Continuing Healthcare (CHC) teams to complete outstanding Community Deprivation of Liberty (DoL) or Judicial DoL applications across Birmingham and Solihull, ensuring applications are completed as required within legislative guidelines and will have a leadership role in the planning and delivery of the Liberty Protection Safeguards, providing professional expertise, training and advice to practitioners, multi-agency partners, CCG colleagues and to individuals and their families.
This role is available for a minimum of 6 months , working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday with excellent rates of pay.
You must have a current NMC or HCPC registration with extensive knowledge of the Mental capacity and Mental health acts, experience of assessment of health and social care needs – care planning, coordination and knowledge of discharge planning processes. Have a good understanding of the NHS and Social Care commissioning and planning processes, with experience working in a court setting.
