HR Co-ordinator
The Cherwell Hospital | 37.5 hours | Competitive salary
The role
Working closely with Ramsay Health Care UK People Team, you will provide a professional, confidential front line HR service. You will also have an ambition to grow your HR experience and explore new career opportunities. We are looking for an HR professional who is customer focused and has demonstrable verbal and written communication skills. You will be confident in your HR knowledge and approach with a willingness to show initiative when needed. You must be well organised, able to prioritise and manage your own workload as this is a busy, challenging and rewarding role which demands a positive attitude and an even temperament. Digital literacy and a strong administrative background are essential.
As a professional member of our People team your key responsibilities will include:
Acting as first line support for all general HR queries, providing timely and accurate advice, in line with Ramsay HR policies and employment law- Administering the HR Information System ‘Workday’ for employee transactions.
- Administering staff roster system (Allocate Health roster)
- The interpretation and application of HR policies appropriately escalating issues to corporate HR when required.
- Adhering to monthly Payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
- Co-coordinating the induction process and ensuring that new starters have an excellent experience.
- Maintaining the HR/Payroll system and creating reports
- Creating and maintaining personnel files
- Attending formal employment relations meetings including formal hearings as company witness and scribe.
- Utilise reporting and recording systems ensuring that DBS, sponsorship certificates and professional registrations are up to date for all relevant employees.
- Co-ordination of Occupational Health absence management referrals and maintaining sickness absence records.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- HR Co-ordinator or Advisor level knowledge and capabilities
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Minute-taking skills
- Excellent customer care skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
- The ability to work independently.
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Experience across varied HR roles in a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
- Experience using Allocate Health roster and ‘Workday’ HR Information System would be an advantage.
