The role of the Area Sales Manager Roofing Plastics and GRP will involve:
- Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of GRP/ pre-fabricated plastic building systems
- Selling into National and regional housebuilders
- Managing a large including the South of England, including South Wales
- Revenue responsibility for circa £17.5m, area currently performing in line with budget expectations
- Initially 70% account management role, migrating to 50% account management and 50% new business over time (hundreds of housebuilder customers on both areas)
- Typical project sizes between £50,000-£150,000 but can be larger
- Quoting £1m+ of business per week (approx. 100 quotes)
- Typically 2 quality re-arranged meetings per day and a drop in (virtual meetings are becoming increasing common)
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Roofing Plastics and GRP with:
- Proven field sales track record in selling any building product into housebuilders
- Also open to field sales experience selling into builders merchants if sold a related/ associated product such as; composite windows & doors, guttering, cornice, chimneys, canopies, roofing systems or any associated GRP products
- Ideally with some technical capability/ knowledge of roofing systems
- Well presented
- Hungry and looking for a career
- Ability to learn the USP’s of our clients range of GRP products
- Understanding of Plastic building systems
- Contacts within national House Builders is not essential but may prove useful
- Stable career background, no job hoppers
