We are currently seeking an accomplished, confident and vibrant Head Bartender to join our Food and Beverage team.

The on target earning potential for this role is £31,857 / annual salary - comprising a base salary of £25,857, plus a qualified estimate of £6,000 in gratuities and service charge* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• You’ll be the eyes and ears for the bar manager, expertly deputising, ensuring the team is highly motivated and instilling the highest standards
• Assisting with menu development, proactively providing your input on flavour profiles and seasonality working hard to ensure we menu that appeals to all of our guests and members
• Identifying and delivering department specific training, keeping the knowledge of your team high, knowledge is power after all!
• Assisting with daily team briefings, ensuring your team is up to speed on any changes to our menu, highlighting any particular focus areas for each shift
• Allocating team members across our outlets, efficiently co-ordinating breaks, ensuring all of our bases are covered
• Making sure all bar areas are ready for service and ensuring they stay that way throughout the day, from stock levels to cleanliness and everything in between
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

• You love working behind the bar and have your finger on the pulse of the industry whether it be in the bars of Edinburgh or further afield, you’re always up to date, and often setting, industry trends
• Striving for excellence in everything you do, you enjoy exceeding the expectations of members and guests and you make sure this drive flows right through your team
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

• About gratuities service charge:

• Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the hotel that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role.
• It is estimated that in 2023, our full-time employees can expect to receive around £6,000 in addition to their annual salary
