About the Trust

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is a community-focused organisation that provides physical and mental health services and social care with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of all our patients and their families. Our trust provides community health, mental health, and specialised health services. We operate across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES).

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Meet regularly with budget managers including senior clinical and non-clinical staff and provide them with information and analyses. This may include the need to explain complex concepts, sometimes dealing with sensitive information.

· Analyse Income and Expenditure data in appropriate levels of detail and interpret trends, to inform budget setting, management and forecasting.

· Investigate material changes to expected patterns of spend and income.

· Investigate material variances to plan by interrogating relevant financial ledgers, feeder data and ESR (Personnel System). Summarise conclusions using Excel, Word and PowerPoint and communicate findings by email to managers and Finance colleagues

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.

· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel.

· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

· Experience of working in an office environment.

· Previous management accounts experience. (Desirable)
