Job Description: Business Development Director
Reports to: CEO
Overview
As the Business Development Director, your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strong relationships with potential clients, and close sales deals. You will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our tele-marketing business through strategic sales initiatives. You will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target prospective clients by researching and analysing market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive sales growth, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets.
- Develop a deep understanding of our services, value proposition, and pricing structure to effectively communicate and persuade potential clients.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify client requirements and tailor customised solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and value of our services.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract agreements with clients, aiming to maximise revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in Salesforce, the company’s CRM system.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by proactively prospecting and networking with potential clients, leveraging existing industry relationships, and staying updated on market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and senior leadership, to align sales efforts with business objectives, optimise processes, and enhance customer experience.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth or improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports and forecasts on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities to senior management.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close deals successfully.
- Proficient in using CRM software to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
- Knowledge of market trends, industry regulations, and competitive landscape.
