Job Description
We have an opportunity for an electrician working a continental shift pattern. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all plant, machinery and equipment within the Penallta Manufacturing sections.
Shift Pattern
Working 37.5 hours per week - days and Nights (12 hour shifts) - No weekends and a 4.30pm finish on a Friday
Primary Functions
- Analysis and repairs to machinery, with a bias on electrical issues, to ensure minimum loss regarding production output.
- Carry out electrical and where required mechanical machine maintenance at appropriate times.
- Assist with “Setting” duties in Conversion Area when this is deemed necessary.
- Repairs to machine parts as necessary.
- Ensure all work is carried out to an acceptable standard before being handed back to production.
- Observe safe working practices in accordance with Health & Safety at Work Act.
- Monitoring of the production floor to assess problem areas and take appropriate action.
- Ensure correct stock control procedures are followed.
- Offer support to Shift Operators when required.
- Must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated
- Must be able to work off their own initiative
- Must be able to work within a team environment
- Must be able to offer positive feedback to overcome current issues, for continual improvement within Manufacturing
- Must show flexibility regarding holiday cover, seasonal working, overtime and unforeseen absence as required.
