Major Recruitment is hiring Assembly Operatives for a leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality plastic parts based in Bridgenorth.
Experience
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Practical hands-on approach to problem solving
- Experience of working and delivering production targets
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) process
JOB OBJECTIVES
To follow comprehensive instructions and schematics to produce quality units by connecting parts into more complex components. Taking precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit for components
ASSIGNMENTS (MAIN WORKING AREAS)
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Select and modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Align materials and build parts to enable construction of much bigger units
- To ensure all equipment in maintained to the highest standard
- Keep accurate records of production quantities and times
- Report all accidents, potential near miss/risk situations and defective equipment using the agreed procedure and wear issued PPE without fail
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Reading and comprehending instructions to follow an established procedure
- Collecting all materials and equipment needed to begin the process
- Checking output to ensure the highest quality
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
- Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times. Adhering to the standards of the 5s housekeeping audit, therefore minimising risk to products and employees
- Ensure that you understand and comply with Health, Safety and environmental regulations at all times
- Report all accidents, potential near miss/risk situations and defective equipment using the agreed procedure and wear issued PPE without fail
AUTHORISATIONS / COMPETENCES
- To use tools and machines to assist with assembly
- Maintain effective relationships with other functions
- Present a professional imagine when communicating internally and externally
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
- Remain confident working under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Drive and support the requirements to uphold accreditations such as IATF16969 and ISO 14001
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Salary: £10.50-£11.97 per hour

- Bridgnorth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
