Concept Resources are recruiting on behalf of Sandwell Council.
The role will include administration to support the operational activities of the Coroners Office and speaking to families via the telephone, face to face and via email.
Some inquests will require a jury and the role will include supporting the Coroner in the administration of setting this up and facilitation of all attendees on court days.
Applicants must have excellent ICT and administration skills.
All necessary training, support and familiarisation will be provided.
Qualification requirement:
Educated to NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent or must be willing to work towards or experienced as above.
Main Duties :
1. Provide business support to service area as required.
2. Produce of accurate and time critical, documents, spreadsheets and correspondence using relevant IT skills as required
. 3. Co-ordinate, monitor and record information and maintain records as required
. 4. Collate statistical information and prepare appropriate reports and returns as required
. 5. Liaise with internal and external customers and other stakeholders to ensure service area is delivering the standard of service level required
. 6. Process all archive requests and requests for statistical data
7. Use ICT, manual systems and multimedia equipment to support the delivery of services in an accurate and timely way.
8. Communicate complex information effectively using a variety of mediums.
9. Provide excellent customer service when handling enquiries in person, on the telephone or by email
10. To liaise and locate bereaved families throughout the Coronial process, utilizing written correspondence, in person and by telephone for the purpose of gathering information and identification, responding to queries and advising and guiding them through the Coronial process.
Experience required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a busy office. Responding to written correspondence from a range of audiences. Planning and organising events and diaries. Maintaining accurate records. Experience of project working and supporting the delivery of services Experience of SBS – Oracle (Finance).
Pay rate £14.17 per hour.
Hours 37 per week -flexible working (office based)
