An excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm of Chartered Financial Planners who are based in Surrey. This firm is directly authorised and specialise in providing advice in pensions, investments and tax planning where hourly charging means giving clients totally impartial advice, with no agenda to gather assets under management.
They are now in a position to appoint a Trainee Financial Adviser to join its established team.
Whether you are a Graduate or a Professional looking to expand on your existing experience, this role will enable the successful candidate to train to become a fully-fledged financial adviser where they will be providing advice to help maintain existing client relationships whilst looking to develop the book of business and resulting income to the firm.
This firm is part of the Employee Ownership Trust, so you will become a genuine partner in the business and can benefit from its success.
The Role:
- Working with the existing advisory team, learning how to best provide financial advice
- Attendance at client meetings
- Ensuring that the firm’s procedures are adhered to and followed at all times.
- Providing financial advice which meets company and FCA guidelines and is appropriate to meet the client’s objectives.
- Keeping abreast of legal, FCA and provider changes to ensure knowledge remains up to date and relevant.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of working within the financial services industry within a paraplanning role is preferred but not essential
- Working towards your Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or a relevant Degree
- Attention to detail and the ability to solve tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
- Confident communication skills and comfortable dealing with clients, providers and management.
- Absolute commitment to providing excellent customer service at all times.
