Job Description
St Elizabeth's House are looking to recruit a Part Time Hotel Receptionist to work every Sunday 7.00am to 1.00pm or 7.00pm and one evening in the week 3.00pm to 9.00pm.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in a hotel reception and have excellent administration and customer service skills, whilst being able to stay calm under pressure.
- To greet guests following the correct registration procedures
- Explain to guest’s whereabouts of room, restaurant & other facilities at time of issuing key
- To handle all room reservations (by phone, email or OTAs)
- To update availability of OTAs to ensure overbooking does not occur
- Check out guests and receive payments ensuring all transactions are completed in line with recorded correctly.
- Cash up and reconcile cash, cheques and cards at the start and end of each shift
- Operate the main switchboard
- To ensure the guest’s bills are kept up to date and that all billing instructions are actioned correctly.
- Respond to all telephone, email and in person enquires
- Handle all restaurant bookings and obtain menu pre-orders for large groups
- Liaise with housekeeping regarding arrivals, stay, departures and any special instructions
- Maintain knowledge of all services, policies and procedures offered by all departments.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe reception area
- Undertake any reasonable request from a member of the management team
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
Knowledge of Hotel PMS systems would be desirable
.

Part-time hours: 12-18 per week
Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
