Job Description
Brief duties will include: -First point of call for our patients and their families -To ensure patient enquiries are handled courteously, efficiently and empathy. -General administrative duties such as emailing, filing, posting of letters, ordering of stationery -Ensuring reception area is neat and tidy You will work closely with other administrative staff to ensure continuity of administration support and mutual assistance within the Service. It will be expected that the post holder will be able to think on their feet, provide flexible cover for service opening hours and able to cover times of absence such a holidays etc. The work will be demanding and varied and you will be required to have excellent demonstrable administrative skills, be confident and assertive and be able to work autonomously using your own initiative.
You should possess: Previous experience of reception/administration in the health sector Good IT skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff The ability to deal sensitively and effectively with distressed service users and carers over the telephone and face to face The ability to work in a fast paced and pressurised environment and be able to be adaptive and flexible in response to additional workload The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst ensuring work is of a high standard
