Job Description

An opportunity has arisen at Oxford Centre for Enablement for maternity cover of a part time band 6 clinical educator nurse working 15 hours over two days a week. This role could be part of a full-time or more hours band 6 post on the ward where the remaining hours would be working clinically as a band 6 deputy Sister/Charge Nurse.

Applications are welcome from existing band 6 nurses who are interested and also from band 5 nurses looking to progress their career.

The post-holder will work closely with the existing Clinical Educator on the ward and with the directorate practice education team.

The post-holder will be expected to plan and deliver a portfolio of educational priorities which is agreed with the ward sister/charge nurse and the educational team.

The successful candidate will work with the existing clinical educator to be responsible for the coordination and orientation of new staff, international nurses, pre PIN nurses, students and Trainee Nursing Associate apprentices by developing evidence-based educational materials.

The post holder will also be responsible for planning, preparing and facilitating educational programmes, ensuring all mandatory and role related training is up to date, responding to changes in Nursing practices and serve as a role model to promote excellence and safety.
