We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as theClinical Team Managerandensure we are delivering outstanding services to the children and young people of theSwindon Community CAMHScatchment area. The service is based in Swindon and works with young people up to 18 years old who experience a range of difficulties associated with their mental health. You would be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team who offer assessment, treatment, and consultation either in the clinic base or out in the community.
You will hold overall management responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for Swindon Community CAMHS. We are working towards a culture where services from across the whole system (including health, education and social care) come together and work together to deliver positive and seamless experiences of care to children, young people and families.
In this hugely important team role, you’ll manage and supervise a diverse group of staff from a range of professional backgrounds, provide great leadership with enthusiasm for service transformation and determination to provide outstanding quality of care, ensuring that children and young people are kept at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and motivating the team, having robust oversight of waiting lists and working with key colleagues to ensure continuity of service.
You can expect a comprehensive induction programme, including a range of shadowing opportunities to fully support the post holder in the role and ongoing in-house training. The team fully supports and delivers regular managerial, peer, clinical, and safeguarding supervision to build upon confidence, competence, and commitment to developing self and the role.
We encourage our team managers to lead on leadership projects and provide opportunities to attend leadership training at Reading University and access to other external training as relevant to professional qualification and role. You will have the opportunity to make an active and meaningful contribution to our exciting service modernisation and redesign that is based on the i-Thrive model, ensuring children and young people get the right support, at the right time, in the right place, from individuals with the right skills. You will also build and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies supporting the development of integrated care pathways and locality working.
With great communication and organisation skills, and a flexible ‘can-do’ approach, you will work as an integral member of the leadership team in Swindon CAMHS and across Bath and North-East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire, providing management cover for other team managers as required.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Bath and North-East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Out of Hours On-Call Manager’s Rota and be on call approximately 7 days every 12 weeks (this frequency could be subject to change). There is a robust system of support available from the consultant psychiatrist and senior manager on call.
Candidates will require a professional qualification and previous experience of working in children’s services and/or as a Mental Health practitioner is essential.
