Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our friendly and dynamic rapidly expanding Respiratory Team. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with experience in Respiratory / Acute Nursing to be part of an innovative multidisciplinary team to help us deliver safe, effective high quality patient care. Respiratory Nursing is an exciting and rewarding specialty. This role is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership and clinical skills whilst supporting a team to help provide and deliver safe, effective, high quality patient care.

We will offer you direct support from the Ward Manager and Senior Nursing team to continue with professional development and lifelong learning with programmes such as the Role Transition program and the Band 5 Development program. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their skills and knowledge of Acute Respiratory nursing.

A Registered Nurse who delivers compassionate, professional, skilled and effective person centred, evidence based nursing care by working within a multidisciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

The Role:
Working within our team you will have the opportunity to experience the acute phase of illness in Respiratory Medicine caring for patients who require treatments such as Non-Invasive Ventilation

As a member of our team part of your role will be to support the senior nurses in the management of the ward and development of the nursing team.

The Person:
You must be a Registered Nurse with a keen interest in acute medicine

Possess excellent communication skills

Excel in a challenging environment

Enthusiastic and eager to expand your knowledge and skills

Flexible with a keen sense of team work

The Respiratory Unit is A 56 Bedded Ward specializing Acute Respiratory Medicine. We work as part of a multidisciplinary team who strive to deliver a high standard of care to patients and their families. We aim to create an inclusive and innovative working environment that embraces the trust values. We are ambitious and highly motivated to provide outstanding care for our area.

To support the senior members of staff in the management and supervision of the defined clinical area
