Finance Assistant – Part Time – Permanent – Grimsby
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our client’s well-established team in Grimsby. This is a part-time position working 15 hours per week (3 hours per day x 5 days per week).
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include but are not limited to:
· Managing banking and petty cash transactions
· Running reports
· Process remittances
· Credit control
· Assist in matters relating to staff pay
· Processing of month-end invoices for charges to local authorities
· Processing of purchase invoices
· Preparation, checking, correcting and processing of payroll for weekly paid staff
· Contacting local authorities to chase up outstanding invoice payments
· Ensuring all records are kept up to date
· Attend and contribute to monthly team meetings
· Using a centralised organisational purchasing system, identify potential savings
· Reception duties
· Managing incoming calls ensuring they are dealt with in a professional and confident manner and all messages are clearly taken
The Perfect Finance Assistant will be:
· Previous experience in a similar role
· AAT qualification would be advantageous
· Financial administration experience, including payroll preparation and purchase/sales ledger is essential
· Experience of working with high degree of autonomy is essential
· Sage 50 – Must have a good working knowledge (desirable)
