We have an exciting opportunity to develop skills and gain experience through essential store operations at our Bluewater store.
There is a team behind every product and they're busy doing the smart thinking, deciding how we succeed as a business. And as an apprentice, you’ll play a vital role on the team, while launching your career within the fashion retail industry.
The role will encompass everything involved in fashion retail such as;
- Store operations.
- Team management.
- Store image and commercial analysis.
- Retail sales.
- Day to day store operations.
- Visual merchandising.
- Stock management.
- Customer relations (face to face).
- Health and safety.
- Diversity and inclusion.
- Impeccable customer service and building relationships.
As a fashion retail business, you will be able to experience Commercial, Visual and Image aspects, including learning how to develop the Operations side of the business, from stock management and e-commerce to shop floor management, team development and all things Health and Safety related. This will provide a full 360 view of how a fashion retail store works.
The role has responsibilities which support with store operations: from the shop floor area and all the operations that take place there, through to the working of the back areas and the management of stock allocation and control. Working with our people to create a chain of continuous growth through training and development. The role is a customer service example for the team. This role would be perfect for someone who has:

Apprenticeship information
To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you're upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.
As an apprentice you’ll:
- Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- Learn and train for a specific job
- Get paid and receive holiday leave
- Get hands-on experience in a real job
- Study for at least 20% of your working hours
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- Be on a career path with lots of future potential

An apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. You’re an employee with a contract of employment and holiday leave. By the end of an apprenticeship, you'll have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career.
Levels of an apprenticeship
Each apprenticeship has a level and an equivalent education level. You can start an apprenticeship at any level.
At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll achieve the equivalent education level. For example, if you complete a level 3 apprenticeship, you’ll achieve the equivalent of an A level.

Qualifications required
To qualify, you’ll need to have achieved GCSEs in Maths (grade C/4 or above) and English (grade C/4 or above).

Is a ‘people person’ who finds it easy to get on everyone and is able to build strong working relationships with the people you work with.
Is trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of the team. Your team and customers will depend upon you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.

Things to consider
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 3 Retail Team Leader Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once you have completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Inspiro's Regional Trainer confirm you have met all the requirements of the standard you will be put through to the End Point Assessment. The End Point Assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of apprentices to ensure you are fully competent in your role.
As an Apprentice you will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help you to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare you for the End Point Assessment.
We’ll expect you to live in or around the location of the selected store so please ensure the commute to our stores is viable day in, day out. Remember to check the travel costs too.
