Crozier is seeking an Art Technician for our Storage Operations in Hayes, Middlesex.
You will be responsible for Safely handling, packing, unpacking, and transporting fine art pieces within the storage facility. Organize and shelve artwork following meticulous inventory management procedures. Condition Checking is an important part of the role, so you will also conduct thorough visual inspections of incoming and outgoing artworks to assess their condition. Document and report any existing damages or changes in their state.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…
- Preparing & Packing art works for storage or transportation.
- Organizing storage spaces as part of a team to ensure optimum efficiencies.
- Assisting with moving a variety of cases in and around a warehouse and unloading vehicles when required.
- Ensure checks are carried out on all goods received into the warehouse and recorded on the appropriate systems.
- Ensure Warehouse cleanliness is maintained.
- Be vigilant with security procedures and immediately report any areas of concern.
- Ensure health and safety measures are observed at all times, including proper use of machinery, and PPE.
- Ensure photographic evidence is provided for any damages or faults.
- Install artworks in viewing rooms and assist with viewings
- Condition reporting of artworks
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Handling of fragile high value goods
- Familiarity with Aviation Security Procedures and Practices (Training will be provided)
- Fork lift truck license advantageous
- Experience within the art industry.
- Experience in art installations
- Experience in condition reporting of artworks
