Membership of the Faculty of Emergency Nursing (FEN) is encouraged, access to FEN continued professional development (CPD) webinars is supported and the opportunity to undertake FEN academically accredited units and qualifications is facilitated.
Please note this role is full internal rotation made up of long shifts 7-1930 or 1900-0730 covering 7 days a week, this will include nights, weekends and public holidays

Our ED staff are the first faces many of our most seriously ill or injured patients see. We are looking for qualified nursing staff to join our busy team who see and treat approximately 176,640 patients per year. The department is undergoing a major expansion plan, leading to an improved working environment for staff to provide outstanding patient care.
We are proud to be the regional Trauma Centre for East Midlands, and take all seriously injured patients from across the area.
We are recruiting first level registered nurses who are adult trained. Successful candidates will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to perform well in stressful situations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The department offers you the chance to complete your Level 1 competencies for Emergency Medicine Nurse as part of your ED Foundation Nurse Induction programme that is supported and delivered by our in-house education department, DREEAM (Department of Research and Education for Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine and Major Trauma).

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

ID and Right to work checks: NUH authenticate ID and right to work documentation including passports and driving licenses through a system called Trust ID. The system will run a check against the key security features within your documentation.
