We are partnered with a large public sector organisation based in Bridgend to recruit two interim HR Officer positions.
The organisation is renowned for being one of the largest employers in the county and has an excellent reputation for staff engagement and retention.
- To manage the allocation of work within the HR Lifecycle Services team on a day to day basis providing efficient support for all areas of responsibility, including recruitment, contract generation, and advice on terms and conditions, contract change and terminations, ensuring service standards are met and policies and procedures are applied in a consistent manner.
To provide advice and guidance to customers in relation to HR Lifecycle queries including the interpretation of employment terms and conditions.
To assist with the identification of training needs for team members and contribute to their ongoing development.
To co-ordinate the vacancy management processes ensuring that all posts are advertised in line with corporate standards.
To co-ordinate the processes associated with the setting up of new starters, including all employment, safeguarding and establishment checks to ensure deadlines are met.
To oversee all subsequent contractual changes throughout the lifecycle of employees ensuring compliance with HR policies and the maintenance of customer service standards.
To assist with the annual registration of Education practitioners.
To assist in the Teachers increment process to support the schools annual performance cycle.
To oversee the timely completion of internal and external information requests and liaise with relevant external bodies and agencies.
To maintain all related HR/Payroll computerised information systems and assist with systems development in order to maximise its functionality and to ensure the provision of timely and accurate management and data integrity reports.
To contribute to the development and maintenance of self-service information and support facilities for managers and employees.
To support the HR Lifecycle Services Team Leader in the wider management and development of the team including deputising as appropriate and identifying system and process efficiencies as appropriate.
To undertake project work and related research activity as appropriate.
To work closely with the colleagues across the wider HR/OD team in order to ensure the provision of consistent and 'joined up' services and the promotion of the new HR operating model.
The ideal candidate:
- Available to start on short notice
- Previous experience in HR
- £23,000 to £25,000
- 3 month interim contract
