We are looking for an experienced, talented and enthusiastic Creative Director to join our in-house Creative Studio. In this role, you will be leading a multi-disciplinary team of designers and copywriters working closely with our Marketing Team. You will be leading creative work across a range of media and touch-points taking projects from concept stages through to final deliverables that engage our customers and ensure a consistent brand and creative direction across all channels.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who can demonstrate a high level of skill across multiple platforms, with an eye for detail in visual communications and able to multitask across varied requirements for the business. You should be aware of creative trends for financial services, bringing innovative approaches to our design capabilities and marketing. A solid understanding of brand, customer needs, technology and design is a must.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the creative team and direct creative work collaborating with team members, marketing and other stakeholders in a diversifying array of formats, channels, and locations.
- Lead creative design direction in line with consumer media consumption and content trends, aligned and optimised with consumer adoption of channels, media formats in multiple markets.
- Lead and manage designers and establish a strong collaborative team culture in an international context.
- Be accountable for the creation and delivery of dynamic creative design work from conception through to production. This will involve researching, brainstorming and creating concepts in collaboration with the marketing team and relevant stakeholders, working from an initial brief to final sign-off.
- Lead larger initiatives to create engaging content for use across social, websites, display ads, email marketing, video, print collateral, television, radio, event branding and promotional material.
- Work collaboratively with our retained external advertising agency.
- Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale both verbally and visually with a convincing and engaging presentation style.
- Ensure all creative production is of the highest quality whilst fulfilling the brief, delivering on strategy and adhering to our brand guidelines.
- Maintain strong working relationships with team members, external creative agencies and internal stakeholders to establish the necessary levels of communication to provide effective design advice and guidance.
- Ensure all designs meet the firm wide accessibility standards.
- Maintain full awareness and understanding of appropriate legislation for relevant channels and ensure all activity is approved by Compliance and Legal team(s); ensure that all materials are consistent with legal conditions and code(s) of practice.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience working in a creative leadership role such as Sr Art Director, Creative Director or equivalent at a creative agency or in-house design studio.
- Full working knowledge of and experience in brand, campaign, social, and digital campaign development with a passion for maintaining brand consistency across all channels.
- Experience of developing and leading creative marketing direction and strategy.
- Experience of managing and mentoring team members.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating an understanding of visual design, brand and customer focus.
- Motivated and have meticulous attention to detail and good project management processes.
- Able to respond quickly to urgent requests and prioritise in an agile way with all open projects.
- In depth knowledge and experience using creative tools. We use Figma and the Adobe Suite of Tools.
- Knowledge of new and emerging technologies within the marketing landscape.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, team-oriented environment. You are comfortable managing high work volumes and processing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Actively listens, hears and understands what is said and not said, and with nuanced comprehension of meaning and intent.
- Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders.
- Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon, business, team and stakeholder consensus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising or related field or equivalent professional experience.
