Working with a vision of 'delivering excellence in all that we do', the governance facilitator will support the Maternity Quality, Risk & Safety (QRS) team in the coordination of all aspects of clinical governance and clinical effectiveness within Maternity Services. The post holder will work with the Head of Midwifery for QRS and a variety of other members of the team to support the quality clinical governance agenda.
Main duties of the job
Provide support for the Maternity QRS team in the delivery of an effective clinical governance agenda. Facilitate and support the development of annual clinical governance programmes within Maternity services and to ensure all staff groups can contribute to the development of learning from incidents to support quality care improvements.
Produce agenda's, minutes, and reports for Maternity QRS team on a frequent basis as well as coordinate Freedom of Information Requests and Legal claims and other enquires. The postholder will work to ensure that clinical and non-clinical colleagues are supported to be able to carry out their roles relating to clinical governance, investigation of incidents and will be able to liaise with external stakeholders and pass information on as required.
The post holder will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who uses their initiative to be creative and develop new ideas as well as having a positive attitude, approach and becoming a valued member of the team.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
