This is a new role within Respiratory Medicine, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to grow and develop the role. The post holder will co-ordinate and provide administrative support to the COPD Multidisciplinary Team as part of the COPD Service pathway. The post holder must exercise initiative to organise their own workload within defined deadlines facilitating an efficient and effective transition for patients through the COPD pathway, ensuring the daily collection, recording and stratifying of patient data. Referrals and Appointments are within specified timescales. The post holder will work in collaboration with the COPD Consultants and their PA teams as well as the COPD specialist nurses in the administration of the Multidisciplinary meetings, analyse discharge data, identify at -risk patients in collaboration with the team in order to prepare clinic lists, interpret clinical and non-clinical data and input into relevant databases. The post holder will support the specialist nursing staff within the service ensuring an effective admin service is provided on a day-to-day basis

Use and maintain admin and patient information systems/databases/reports in relation to patient pathway e.g. for tracking and flagging investigations and results, booking appointments, actioning onward referrals.
Telephone calls inbound/outbound relating to patients specific care, in a confidential, sensitive and empathetic manner, with patients, GPs, other departments and the wider health community.
Consultant & Nurse clinic and diary management.
Accurately transcribing from digital dictation or verbal instructions, outpatient clinic letters, results letters to patients and miscellaneous correspondence to a high standard and within specified timescales.
Attending MDT meetings and undertaking administration duties inclusive of transcribing hand written MDT outcome forms and taking notes.
Outcoming MDT meetings in an accurate and timely manner, preparing and dissemination meeting minutes, updating Medway and ensuring an accurate record.
Setting up and use of video-conferencing equipment to support MDTs
Assist in the development and continued administration of the COPD Regional MDT.
Supporting the management team in achieving the department targets, goals and aspirations.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
