This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 nurse currently working within sexual health to develop to a Band 6 Senior Sexual Health Nurse.
The successful applicants will be paid as a Band 5 until they have completed the STIF integrated training followed by a 3 month consolidation period before moving on to the Band 6 position.
Upon completion of the training and consolidation period, the post holder will provide care for patients on the sexual health pathway. This will include the diagnosis and management of patients presenting symptoms of STI's, sexual dysfunction, HIV, contraception requirements and any other sexual health related problems.

Main duties of the job
Provide specialist nursing care by assessing, diagnosing and planning care to meet the needs of Sexual Health Patients.
Take responsibility for the care of a caseload of Sexual Health patients requiring specialist Sexual health care.
Provide advice, information, education and counselling to patients who attend the department and to those who are diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection or require contraception.
Work within multi-disciplinary teams, providing specialist advice to clients within hub, spoke and outreach clinics.
Teaching and assessing medical and nursing trainees.

The post holder will be expected:-

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
