Job Title: Supply Chain Executive
Location : Rainham (office based)
The Role
Supplier
- Be responsible for building relationships with supplier account managers in order to negotiate favourable terms in Promotions. Pricing, Ranging, Joint Business Plans and Advertising Income.
- Min. 5 Years Experience in FMCG
- Assure compliance to the “Setting the price” work pack inclusive of the Process, Roles & Responsibilities and Quick Reference Cards.
- Maintenance of all purchase templates – ensuring all templates are updated for effective commercial use and comply with company guidelines.
Customer
- Actively engage with customer’s in-store to gain insight into factors that affect buying success in Price, Promotion and Range.
- Work closely with the marketing department in satisfying the “voice of the customer”.
Operations
- Responsible for the availability of goods in depot and setting the minimum order level in the ERP system that will protect our brand reputation with customers and sales.
- Ensure the stock value in area of responsibility meets stock turn and return on investment requirements.
- Responsible for achieving category sales, meeting margin requirements and stock targets in line with the monthly budget whilst protecting split participation set by the Head Buyer.
- Attend trade fairs, trade communities, conferences and supplier events.
Finance
- Responsible for performance and reporting on the ROI of category department costs and depot space versus gross profit.
- Protect stock loss through expiry or poor administration. Highlight opportunities for cost reduction within trading processes.
- Actively resolve any supplier credits with 30 days of due date.
- Actively seek to increase all suppliers to 45 day payment terms whilst protecting smooth supply of goods.
