JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator
LOCATION: Wembley Stadium
RESPONSIBLE TO: Project Manager
1. JOB PURPOSE:
To assist the project team to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required performance and quality standards demanded by the project and Interkey Contracting.
2. SCOPE:
- Project Value: Up to £5m
- Direct Reports:
None - will work closely with projects site team
3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders: client, project team and contractors to ensure promises and expectations are met.
- Manage the logistics of materials, plant and waste in line with project requirements.
- Assist in the creation and subsequent monitoring and updating of a detailed project Gantt chart, short term look-a-head programme and weekly plan.
- Update and monitor against Key Dates Schedule.
- Assist PM in CTC creation, updating and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collation, issue and updating of both ‘Works’ and ‘Site’ Packs.
- Effectively manage plant hire in conjunction with the site manager.
- Control of costs with regular monitoring and astute buying.
- Place and expedite orders in line with project requirements.
- Create and maintain sustainable relationships with our supply chain partners.
- Document control.
4. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY & CONTROLS:
- Cost control on projects up to a value of £5m.
- Programme monitoring.
- Work within Interkey Contracting policies and procedures.
5. SPECIAL FACTORS:
- Projects are often implemented differently to originally envisaged due to changes by client and/or site complexities.
- Work in collaboration with all parts of the Interkey Contracting team and supply chain partners.
- Projects require close coordination between all stakeholders.
- Full time site attendance to facilitate the project team and coordinate works is required.
- The role involves a mix of office based and boots on the ground work.
6. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Desire to pursue a career in project management.
- Computer literate, ideally with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
- Experience in the construction sector would be advantageous.
- Financial awareness/understanding.
- Adaptable.
- Highly organised.
- Eager to learn.
- Logical thinker.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a small team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £18,492.19-£25,129.90 per year
