Local Marketing Manager

Milton Keynes/Hybrid

The Local Marketing Manager's core purpose is to empower franchisees with the knowledge, resources, and support to excel in local marketing opportunities. As a primary point of contact, they collaborate with franchisees, proactively involving them in initiatives and trials. Coordinating marketing plans, tracking results, and providing valuable feedback optimize future campaigns. Account management ensures seamless communication with stakeholders, including senior leaders, while conveying complex marketing concepts and data-driven insights. With confident presentation skills, they facilitate effective workshops and meetings, empowering franchisees to achieve success. Additionally, the role involves supporting new store openings, student marketing activity, engaging in competitor blunting, and actively sharing marketing best practices for continuous franchisee growth and prosperity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide franchisees with dedicated support and guidance for all marketing activities and enquiries.
  • Foster key relationships with a selected group of franchisees, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare and provide comprehensive data packs and marketing reviews to franchisees, offering valuable insights and performance metrics on their local marketing initiatives to facilitate informed decision-making and enable franchisees to optimise their marketing strategies for better results.
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Marketing Teams to synchronize local and national marketing plans, promoting the sharing of valuable insights across the teams.
  • Run knowledge sharing webinars and workshops for franchisees to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge for successful local marketing campaigns and new store openings.
  • Coordinate and oversee digital marketing efforts in conjunction with digital marketing experts, covering CRM (email, push, SMS, in-app), Performance (PPC, Social, Display, local SEO, Affiliates), and Trading (web banners, pricing, and promotions) to amplify local community engagement.
  • Work with the Data team to analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, track key performance metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to franchisees.

What we are looking for!

  • The role of Local Marketing Manager would suit a generalist marketer with significant experience in working in local marketing. The ideal candidate should possess a diverse skill set in marketing, including experience in digital marketing and understanding data and analytics. Experience working directly with franchisees would be highly beneficial
  • You should have a proven track record of successfully implementing local marketing campaigns and driving results at regional or store level. You must alsobe well-versed in adapting marketing strategies to cater to different locations and demographics, while maintaining a consistent brand image across multiple franchise groups.
  • Understanding the importance of strong account management and building positive relationships, you will be adept at providing comprehensive support and guidance to franchisees throughout their marketing journey. This includes supporting franchisees during new store openings, assisting with marketing plan execution, and delivering insightful performance reports.
  • You’ll be degree educated (or equivalent) and have strong experience, preferably from a franchised business or a similar sized blue-chip business.
  • The role will suit someone with a strong understanding of marketing principles and the delivery of end-to-end marketing campaigns. Someone who enjoys interpreting data, and using this to present opportunities whilst offering support that enables franchisee in-house marketing teams to implement.
