Salary - Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 6 £35,392-£42,618 per annum, pro rata, plus enhancements.
Hours/Contract – Permanent full time 37.5 permanent
Based - Home Based, must be willing to travel to various venues across across Essex, Norfolk And Suffolk to meet with nursing teams

What we are looking for:
- Strong time management skills and the ability to proactively plan and schedule your own workload, to meet patient care requirements.
- The flexibility to work across a varied shift pattern that includes twilight and occasional night shifts.
- Experience in observation and assessment of clinical practice, to determine standards of care.
- An understanding of specific needs of patients approaching end of life and in the terminal phase.
- An interest in audit and improvement.
This is a great development role for someone ready to take their next step from a clinical role into a nursing management role, sharing your nursing and palliative care knowledge to really influence and shape patient care across the region.
In this key role, supported by the Clinical Nurse Manager, you’ll deliver day to day support to a great team of Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants. This will include training and development, investigating incidents and caseload management and support to the East of England Hub, along with the Clinical Nurse Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of the Marie Curie Nursing Service in the Essex, Norfolk And Suffolk areas of the East of England region You will deputise for the Clinical Nurse Manager in their absence.
A confident communicator and calm decision maker, you’ll need experience and knowledge in palliative care and community services, together with well-developed assessment and planning skills. The ability to prioritise your work, whilst juggling a variety of changing demands, is vital.
The role is Home based, you must be willing to travel to various venues across across Essex, Norfolk And Suffolk to meet with nursing teams and attend relevant End of Life Care meetings. The ability to drive with access to a vehicle insured for business use is therefore essential for this role.
