Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Waltham Cross, Herts
Salary: Competitive
Shift: 7am-4pm or 10am-7pm (TBC)
5 over 7 shift pattern
Core Hours: 40 hours per week
Shoal is growing! and we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to be an addition to our team!
Shoal Seafood Ltd are part of the Reynolds Group. Shoal was founded in 2017 to deliver new standards of freshness, convenience and quality for the fish and seafood industry. We are able to offer a bespoke solution that is specific to our clients’ needs and our fish and seafood is processed and packed at source.
Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit Warehouse Supervisor, who has previous experience within the fish processing industry.
Accountabilities:
- Manage, develop and lead teams in the delivery of an operationally excellent warehouse in line with business requirements.
- Lead and develop continuous improvement activity in your area of responsibility in the delivery of quality, value and customer service.
- Take ownership of department KPI’s, ensuring targets are fully met through the management and monitoring of team’s performance.
- Carrying out regular reviews on performance and KPI achievement, putting in corrective actions and other gap closures as appropriate.
- Comply with all legalities, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental policies.
- Maintain and clean workstations to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Follow internal procedures in relation to fish & food preparation and temperature controls.
- Responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines.
- Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the factory environment.
- Provide a strong customer service culture throughout your department/team.
- Develop the team using a coaching/mentoring approach.
- Ensure regular briefings and communications to the team.
To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience.
- Proven experience in fish preparation/processing is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a supervisory role.
- Organisational skills and management of results.
- Coaching & development of teams.
- Ability to effectively allocate & maximise resource.
- A self-starter with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
- Professional manner and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm whilst still maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Develops relationships within own department and cross functionally with the rest of the Business.
- Ability to diffuse and resolve conflict.
