An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance Department to be responsible for providing global comprehensive financial transaction, accounts payable and treasury function to the business. You will be working alongside our paperless Finance Team, ensuring that all our global supplier and internal transactions are completed in accordance with company guidelines and policies. This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious candidate with computer proficiency wanting to start their career in finance!
Responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Assistant include:
Processing purchase invoices with high attention to detail which will include different currencies and high volume
Reconciling supplier statements to our ledgers
Performing payment runs when needed
Processing Proforma invoices from suppliers
Support the implementation and maintenance of appropriate levels of financial control for all financial processes, systems and documentation and assist with more senior members of the team
Help with protecting and developing supplier relationships via telephone and email
Aiding as required to other senior members of the team
Use of 3 systems regularly
Requirements of an Accounts Payable Assistant:
This is a perfect opportunity for those wanting to start out a career in finance - full training will be provided with full study support provided for those wanting to complete their AAT
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good organisational and administration skills
The ability to work under pressure and stick to deadlines whilst keeping
attention to detail
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with using excel spreadsheets to a basic level
