We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed enabler to provide 2:1 close supervision for a 12-year-old young boy.
We are looking to recruit a Team of workers to support a young boy who has a diagnosis of Autism, Learning Disability and ADHD
The young boy is a happy child who loves animals, a range of cartoons including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and being active. He smiles a lot although he can be loud when he is distressed. He sensory seeks and may head bang into people when distressed. He can become distressed when he finally realises, he is hungry, thirsty or cold but may not realise this and refuse food and drink until he is very hungry or thirsty. Waiting can cause him to become distressed. He has weighted items and chew noodles to help provide feedback to keep him regulated. Changes to routine can distress him
His favourite activities are visiting places such as the Tim Lamb Centre, Plessy Woods, soft play, beaches, walks where he can feed the ducks, and swimming. He likes going out in his chair, messy play but usually wants his hands cleaned fairly quickly after the messy play. He also enjoys trips to McDonalds. He enjoys going into shops to buy one item (this is often a packet of noodles or sweets).
