The recruitment Bunker is recruiting for a Production Operative for a leading engineering company based in Coventry to manufacture and/or assemble a range of components and/or raw materials into finished goods across one or more production areas, ensuring required standards of quality are met.

Responsibilities
- Product assembly to prescriptive process instructions within a determined process cycle to an achievable quality standard
- Operate production equipment such as terminal presses, air, and power tools, etc.
- Build up components and sub-assemblies into finished electrical or mechanical products.
- Interpreting and working to process assembly instructions in a repeatable and logical manner
- Interfacing with Team Leader regarding quality, problem solving, assembly issues and improvements.
- Responsible for own work area housekeeping and local tool and equipment maintenance
- Ensuring quality of own work and management of own tasks within required time frame
- Working with and supporting other team members in ensuring consistent throughput and achievement of overall production targets
- Monitoring own work area stock levels and interfacing with Team Leader to ensure consistent part availability to support production requirements.
Essential Skills
- Experience in an automotive assembly production line environment
- Previous experience of working to repeatable tight deadlines
- Previous examples of using a wide range of basic hand / air tools
- Having worked as part of a team in a quality lead environment in previous roles.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of automotive product quality assurance systems (5S, TPM, KPI’s).
