About the role
Join our thriving Capital Works team as a Project Manager and take the lead in delivering impactful habitat creation and enhancement projects. We are a passionate organisation dedicated to promoting and creating a positive impact on our environment. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, working closely with our team of ecologists and land experts to achieve remarkable outcomes.
Requirements
Duties
- Collaborate with our Ecologists and Land team to strategically plan and execute habitat creation and enhancement initiatives within your designated region (North).
- Facilitate the procurement and selection of well-vetted Contractors, ensuring the right partners are chosen for project success.
- Manage the performance and coordination of delivery partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prioritise safety in everything we do, ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are strictly adhered to, and safety standards on site are exemplary.
- Oversee the completion of works to high standards, within agreed timelines that align with the horticultural calendar and stay within allocated budgets.
- Conduct thorough quality and safety audits to maintain exceptional project standards.
- Foster positive and productive relationships between Landowners, Contractors, and Ecologists to ensure smooth project workflows.
- Ensure strict compliance with all environmental legislation and requirements, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable practices.
Skills & Experience
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualified, demonstrating a strong grasp of Health and Safety principles in project management.
- CSCS or equivalent landscaping qualification, demonstrating your expertise in construction-related practices.
- A formal Horticultural, Landscaping, or Environmental degree, showcasing your academic foundation in relevant fields. (desirable)
- Proven experience in successfully delivering environmental improvement projects
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and driven, with a passion for making a difference in the realm of habitat creation and enhancement.
- A collaborative team player, capable of working effectively with diverse teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Financial acumen, with proficiency in budget setting, cost management, and forecasting to ensure projects remain on track.
