The role
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially savvy Junior FP&A Analyst to join our expanding FP&A Function. The FP&A team are integral to maintaining the profitability of the business through budgeting & forecasting, commercial analysis, and scenario modelling. The team is responsible for supporting all areas of the business and therefore a successful candidate will need to be agile in managing multiple priorities and switching from one piece of work to another. The culture at PLT is ambitious and we will be looking for like minded individuals to compliment this with fresh ideas and insight.
You will be required on site in our Manchester office 4 days per week with 1 day working from home.
What you'll be doing
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for Senior Management Team and Directors
- Prepare presentations for Senior Management Team and Directors
- Assist the FP&A team with general data queries
- Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances
- Assist in developing financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Share findings with, and make recommendations to, both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

More about you
- A 2:1 or above in a Finance related or other relevant numerical degree
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Appetite to study for CIMA or equivalent
- Financial modelling experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Track record of working in a fast-paced environment
- Confident personality and ability to communicate effectively
- Appetite to develop and progress
