As an inspirational Assistant General Manager, it is your role to drive excellence in venue standards through the management team, supporting the General Manager to achieve the venue’s performance targets. You will need to be the bearer of standards, creativity, and quality across brands and responsible for the continuous development of the standards in venue.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with knowledge of all areas of venue management. A calm, enthusiastic and confident approach is right up our street as we want you to inspire everyone you work with! Knowledge of compliance, licensing, health and safety and HR are also needed to manage our great teams effectively. We are looking for a natural leader that can step into any area of the business and push our already high standards to the limit. As Assistant Manager, you will have had previous Duty Manager experience and be up-to-speed with venue management and all cash procedures.

Full training on brand values, products and service standards will be provided to any individual successful in this process.

Essential

  • At least 6 months management experience at a similar level.
  • Experience in staff training and development.
  • Innovative and creative ideas for cocktail menu and service development.
  • Licensing, HR and H&S legislation experience.

    Desired

    • Experience in a multi-site unit, managing multiple locations within a complex.
    • Food safety and hygiene qualifications.
    • Personal License.

    Showcasing your fantastic customer service skills will be the top priority and your role will include:

    • Be effective in all aspects of being a duty manager on shift, venue management, security procedures, cash handling and finalising all end of night cash handling policies.
    • Responsible for the continuous progression planning of all non-salary venue staff development through PDPs, probation reviews and training plans.
    • Continuous review of service standards and staff performance of each location within the complex to ensure that the required standards are in line with the company’s mission statement and vision.
    • Ensuring that the venue is in readiness to blow people’s minds by ensuring that the cleanliness, maintenance, and general upkeep of the venues are up to the high company ideals, such as aesthetics and working order.
    • Assist the General Manager in making the venue completely compliant in all areas including but not limited to Alcohol Licensing, Fire Safety, Environmental Health, Health & Safety, Employment Law.
    • Assist the General Manager with all HR related issues, ensuring that the site DMs have accurately recorded the correct processes related to starters & leavers, absence, sickness, managing performance, disciplinaries and grievances.
    • Handling administration and paperwork ensuring that all confidential documents are secured, and that any personal data is stored in line with company policy.
