The Role – Security Officer – Dual Role
AM Services Group is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Security / Cleaning Team at our client’s prestigious shopping centre in North Shields
This is a Permanent Relief role ranging from 30-42 hrs per week - the suitable person would work a variety of straight shifts over 7 days covering between 7 am until 7 pm – with the option of overtime available to cover sickness and annual leave
Duties/Key Responsibilities
To provide professional security / cleaning services to our client, maintaining the security, safety and cleanliest of their premises and people by ways of monitoring, patrolling and surveying the building and their assets.
- You must be flexible and able to work in a multi-service team , including supporting the cleaning team, with their duties as and when required
- Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that AM Support Services offers exceptional customer service at the highest standards
- Complete daily security tasks, including the use of client software
- Carry out routine patrols on site
- Locking and unlocking premises
- Assist in deterring crime within the centre
- Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
- Liaison with local authorities including police, emergency healthcare services or even fire extinguishers in case of an emergency
- Operating telephone switchboard
- Carry out any reasonable task requested by the client or Manager, if you are trained to do so.
Skills Required
- Valid SIA Front Line Licence
- You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
- Be able to access, control and manage a large crowd of people efficiently and quickly.
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Experience in a similar retail security role is required
