Job Description

Management Accountant - Maternity Cover - 12 month FTC
Monday - Friday
Tewkesbury
We are supporting our award winning client based in Tewkesbury who are currently looking for a Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking for the next step in their career. You will be reporting directly to their supportive Financial Controller, covering for a Maternity Cover 12 month fixed term contract to have involvement in a variety of areas within the position.

Main responsibilities will include preparing financial information and working closely and collaboratively with management to gain and detail a high level of understanding regarding various information to aid the companies overall decision making of various departments within the business. You will need to be incredibly strategic, work well with tight deadlines and will have a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing and posting documentation, valuations, invoice accruals, journals and reconciliations to Sage
Preparing monthly depot accounts, investigate and resolve variances
Maintain records and support annual audit and tax analysis requirements
Supervision of Purchase Ledger staff
Additional senior financial duties

Requirements

What you will have:

Previous experience of the monthly postings to SAGE
Previously supervised or oversaw the Purchase Ledger
2+ years experience within a similar
Advanced skillset in Excel (pivot tables and vlookups)
Knowledge of SAGE 200 or similar
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification (desirable not essential)
